Open Day 2008

May the 3rd saw Mentro Lluest's annual Open Day, a chance to showcase the hard work of our volunteers and beneficiaries over the last 7 months since European funding came to an end.

Everything for sale had been grown by volunteers and beneficiaries who have worked tirelessly to ensure that the day was a success.

Alongside the traditional bedding plants, vegetables and hanging baskets were the charity’s new range of herbs and beneficial plants which aroused a lot of interest and questions from the public.

The ‘frog hotels’ in the polytunnels were a big hit with the children and demonstrated that you needn’t use slug pellets to combat a slug problem.

The day was also a chance for people to learn about Mentro Lluest’s new projects and how the charity is moving forward.

Mentro Lluest would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that has supported the charity, especially the team of dedicated volunteers, without whom none of this would have been possible.
