Plants For Free - Vegetative Propagation Course

Mentro Lluest’s course in Vegetative Propagation will teach you how to grow new plants from cuttings, layering, division and other propagation methods. Through out the course you will learn a number of different methods and practice on a wide variety of plants at the charity’s picturesque Llanbadarn based site. Participants will be able to take home a selection of cuttings from the course, but with the knowledge learnt, they will soon be able to take hundreds more of their own and fill their garden for no more than the price of some sand and compost.

The latest course starts on Wednesday the 15th of July. The course will be held on every Wednesday for 6 weeks. There is a charge of £10 per day, or £50 for the whole 6 weeks. To help your savings, concessionary rates may be available; please contact Mentro Lluest for further details.

Beat the credit crunch, reduce your food miles and know what you are eating

10 week course, every Wednesday starting Wednesday 1st April for 10 weeks.

This 10 week course will teach you how to grow your own food, organically and sustainably, going from lawn to productive veg patch. You will prepare your own plot on Mentro Lluest’s Soil Association certificated organic site and work with our resident expert to produce your own vegetables, from seed to plate.

£10 per week - course cost includes all seeds and materials.

Sustainable Garden Design

A sustainable gardener recognizes that all living things and processes are interdependent. Learn how to apply nature’s principles and patterns to your own garden and create a healthy, productive and environmentally sensitive garden that’s designed to meet your needs.

Mentro Lluest has a limited number of spaces on it's Sustainable Garden Design Course, available absolutely free of charge. The course begins on Tuesday the 24th of February and is held each Tuesday morning for 5 weeks. Upon completion, participants will have the opportunity to put what they have learnt into practice, creating a number of small gardens at Mentro Lluest's Llanbadarn site.
